Here at My HELM Tutor Club, we pride ourselves in providing affordable tutoring by working together.
As standard, our tutoring sessions run for no more than four pupils at any one time. (Exceptions to this are clearly stated in course details)
Sessions are usually priced at £20.00 per hour session. (Again, exceptions are clearly shown)
We continually update our club with intimate, small group tutor sessions.
Every tutor will be interviewed, DBS checked, referenced, and show a history of subject matter experience.
All our tutor sessions are held within the centre.
All you must do is register your interest, and we will contact you by email and arrange a taster session. Please message us if you have any questions.

The session kicks off with a taster where you make a funky pencil case, use your imagination, and make your design as whacky as you want!
In the following weeks, you can make and design a plush toy, made of felt, you may want to bring in scraps of fabric/buttons/ribbons, etc to add to it. You may decide to design a funky alien, an Among Us plush, or a beautiful Llama and explore the use of decorative embroidery stitches. This is an easy step-by-step sewing project which is open for all abilities who wish to make a plush toy of their choice.
Remember both boys and girls can sew!
Are you more experienced?
You will be teamed with other students at your craft/ sewing level. You will have the opportunity to pick a design and craft/sew it over the weeks. I will show you new skills that you can use to create the design you want to achieve.

Drawing, painting, photography, embroidery, sculpture, ceramics, illustration, engraving, metalwork, installation - phew! And these are just a few of the processes and products described by the word ‘art’. We can’t cover everything, but, in this course we will look at some of the major movements in the history of European art, building a map of how the way works of art are made, and looked at, has changed over time, along with the beliefs, ideas and technologies of the societies that made them.
The course is aimed at older students (11-16) who will acquire a basic knowledge of the major periods and styles of Western art history from prehistoric to contemporary, and will develop skills in critical thinking, visual analysis, and written appraisal.
